The pyjama day had been suggested by the Student Council and helped to get us all into the Christmas spirit. Each class had hot chocolate, biscuits and a movie in the afternoon to finish what had been a very enjoyable day!

3rd Class had a very busy Science Week this year. They kick started it by making air rockets using origami with Pamela who came in to visit from Cavan County Library. They did a very egg-citing experiment testing the density of an egg compared to water and salt-water. They also learned about refraction and how the light could make objects bend when passed from one material to another. They finished off the week by learning about static electricity and how it could make Rice Krispies move!
